For my Senior Thesis, I created a series of six acrylic paintings inspired by memories from my semester studying abroad. The project was developed in response to the class-wide theme, "Intertwined Getaway," which I interpreted through the ideas of escapism, freedom, and new beginnings.

 

Each painting features a bold, oversized border that gives the series a modern aesthetic while serving a symbolic purpose. The border colors were intentionally chosen to reflect the emotions and atmosphere of each location, reinforcing the connection between color, memory, and place.
