"In Bloom" is the second editorial photoshoot I created for Measure Magazine in collaboration with the Fashion Team. The concept centered around  the models symbolizing individuals blossoming into new versions of themselves, both metaphorically and literally.

 

To bring this vision to life, the Fashion Team selected a local greenhouse as our location, whose natural setting perfectly complemented the senior Fashion Design capstone collections featured in the shoot. I wanted the photographs to evoke an ethereal, almost enchanted feeling by emphasizing soft light and making the subjects appear naturally radiant.

 

Because the greenhouse relied entirely on natural light, I had limited control over the lighting during the shoot. As a result, much of the creative process shifted into post-production, where I used Adobe Lightroom Classic to carefully refine the lighting, color, and contrast while preserving the organic atmosphere of the space. This project strengthened my understanding of working with natural light and reinforced the importance of thoughtful editing in creating a cohesive editorial narrative.
