During my junior year at Marist University, I took a Digital Illustration course that introduced me to new creative techniques and expanded my digital art skills. This collection showcases a variety of projects completed throughout the semester, including movie posters, CAD fashion illustrations, product mockups, seasonal illustrations, children's book artwork, and a 25-page storyboard inspired by a folklore story.

 

Although I entered the course with limited experience in digital illustration, I embraced the challenge and quickly developed confidence using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator. Throughout the semester, I strengthened my understanding of digital drawing fundamentals, including layer organization, lighting and shadow, highlights, contrast, color theory,

and composition.

 

This course pushed me outside of my comfort zone and gave me a deeper appreciation for illustration as both a storytelling and design tool. The skills I developed continue to influence my approach to graphic design, allowing me to create more thoughtful, dynamic, and visually engaging work.
